Preventive Control
Management and cultural practices
- After a heavy infestation, refrain from planting sweet potato for at least 2 cropping seasons. Always keep your area free of Ipomea weeds to eliminate all the possible food sources of the pests.
- Properly select your planting material. Never use slips that are taken from infested vines.
- Ask for assistance from your agriculturist to give you recommendations on the variety, and other local cultural practices.
